Around the globe, 2020 was a year filled with diverse challenges and difficult decisions. As we made the decision to pivot to distance learning towards the end of March, we never imagined that a few weeks of learning from home would turn into months. Teachers were suddenly faced with having to reimagine the way they taught, students had to learn new ways of learning, and parents became participants in their children’s education like never before.

When we reached out to you to help us adapt our education programs to the new context, a change that required additional funds to access resources like computers, cell phones, internet service, and hygiene products, you responded generously. And when we thought things were finally starting to look up in November and then our communities were hit by two major hurricanes, you responded with overwhelming generosity.
