For the first time, Fabretto joined with the San Francisco Marathon as a charity partner this summer. The Marathon works with hundreds of other organizations for their event each year, including Stand Up 2 Cancer, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the National Kidney Foundation. Overall, the event raised a total of $185,000. Runners were able to choose an organization for which to fundraise for and then run a marathon or half marathon on their behalf. Luckily for us, three amazing runners chose to help out Fabretto’s mission.
On July 26th, longtime Fabretto supporter Jorge Wong-Valle and two new supporters Sushil Balan and Yogesh Lokanath, ran the half-marathon for Fabretto’s cause and even raised money along the way. Cumulatively, the three athletic legends (at least, that’s what they are to us!) raised over an amazing $1,500. As if running 13.1 miles isn’t hard enough!
A huge thank you to Jorge, Sushil, and Yogesh for their needed and hugely appreciated contribution to Fabretto and congratulations to them on completing the run. Next stop: Olympics?
