The women of the Nica HOPE Jewelry Cooperative are hard at work on brand new recycled purses!

To make each of the medium-sized clutches, the women cut recycled cookie wrappers and chip bags into approximately 280 small strips and carefully fold and sew them, using different colored bags to create a variety of designs. A recycled zipper and metal zipper pull top off the completely recycled, “green” product.
