Maycol: A Resilient Teacher

BY: Diana Corrales

From being a sponsored child to receiving a university scholarship, Maycol Pérez benefited from Fabretto programs most of his life. Today, Maycol is a teacher at the Fabretto Education Center in Somoto, Nicaragua, where he teaches local youth technical courses adapted to the rural environment.

This year, Maycol was invited to speak at Fabretto’s 25th annual Night for Niños event in New York City. His story of resilience inspired many to share their hearts and support Fabretto education programs. Thanks to their overwhelming generosity, we raised a total of $324,000 in one night!

Please consider making a final donation that can help to keep the doors of TWO Fabretto Education Centers open for an entire school year, where resilient teachers like Maycol give their all to help underserved children reach a better future.

Thank you for loving, serving, and giving with every beat of your heart!
