It’s lunchtime at a rural school in Guatemala. Amid the laughter and lively voices of children, Génesis carefully takes her seat in front of her steaming plate. The familiar aroma—rice, vegetables, and a touch of flavor she loves—rises gently. She eats happily, unaware that this everyday meal represents the collective work of many people and institutions who believe in her future.
In Guatemala, more than 46% of children under the age of five suffer from chronic malnutrition. This reality affects their growth, their ability to learn, and their opportunities to thrive. But thanks to partnerships like those among the Seeds for Progress Foundation, Fabretto Children’s Foundation, and Feed My Starving Children (FMSC), hundreds of students like Génesis can enjoy a nutritious meal at school each day.
