Food Security & Nutrition Program
Through the Food Security & Nutrition Program, Fabretto works with our partners to improve access to nutritious school meals and strengthen holistic child development and school attendance. Additionally, we work to improve community food security and local production of healthy foods.
We do this through:
- School Meals: We connect high-need schools with fortified foods that improve the nutritional value of the meals they serve. Also, we support nutrition education, including training school cooks in culturally-adapted recipes.
- Local Production of Food: We support partners in developing sustainable approaches to producing healthy foods locally. We develop projects with our partners to promote sustainable approaches to local food production, to sustain the family diet and to generate income at the family, school, and community level.

- Distributing foods to schools
- Developing nutritious recipes and assets like recipe books, video tutorials, and manuals
- Training school cooks and volunteers
