A Hope for Daisy

Fittingly named after a flower known to symbolize purity and innocence, Daisy inspires a special love and appreciation that is hard to put into words. The 4-year-old has Down Syndrome, but thanks to access to trained teachers, early stimulation and nutritional support, she has now made it to an important milestone: preschool. This Holiday season, give a little hope to children like Daisy.

Elisa: From Malnutrition to a Full Belly

Even though poverty is palpable all around her, a huge smile appears on Elisa's face. After turning one, Elisa started suffering from chronic malnutrition, but she has found hope in Fabretto's early stimulation and nutrition programs. Soon, she will be able to start preschool strong and with a full belly.

Rodrigo: A Reason to Smile

After losing a child to pneumonia in 2014, Leonor thought she would never smile again. But a little angel, Rodrigo, was on his way to bring back her smile. 4-year-old Rodrigo lives in Quebrada Honda, one of the most underserved communities in Nicaragua, where one out of every three children under 5 suffers from malnutrition. Thanks to early stimulation and nutritional support, Rodrigo has a chance to escape this reality.

Jorgito: Waiting for a New School to Open in his Community

Jorgito and Juanita live in the rural community of El Macuelizo, located in a rocky, arid terrain on the outskirts of Esteli, Nicaragua, 2 kilometers from the municipal landfill. Despite the 3-year difference in age, when hearing Jorgito read, the two siblings may seem the same age. At 5 years old, Jorgito has never attended a preschool, but he has already read several children's stories in the libary at his sister’s school. There, Jorgito and Juanita have found an escape from the harsh reality of poverty.
