We are excited to announce our partnership with Educate2Envision (or E2E, for short), an organization working on the ground in Honduran communities to improve access to secondary education. Fabretto and E2E are working together on Youth Empowerment projects in Honduras.
An E2E school in the mountains of Cantarranas, Honduras
E2E inaugurated its first rural secondary school 11 years ago, and since then has grown to 16 schools with a teaching team of 23 facilitators who support youth on their educational journeys. E2E partners closely with the local government in each municipality and the Honduran public education system to share costs and guarantee the sustainability of education projects. In addition to providing a certified pathway to a high school diploma, E2E complements youth’s education with leadership training and community projects that help youth put their knowledge into practice. Learn more about E2E’s impactful work in Honduras on their website.
This focus on rural secondary education and hands-on learning for youth in the rural environment makes E2E an ideal partner for Fabretto. Earlier this year, we had the opportunity to visit E2E centers in Cantarranas, Honduras, and signed an agreement to begin to collaborate on youth empowerment projects.
Currently, we are working together on two initial projects:
1. Training E2E teachers in Fabretto’s rural technology integration model. Learn more about our model here.
2. Piloting two of Fabretto’s agriculture technical training courses with youth who are enrolled at E2E’s schools, with the leadership of E2E facilitators. The courses began in July and will run through 2023, with an initial enrollment of 40 youths.
Fabretto is grateful for E2E’s partnership and deep commitment to empowering youth in Honduras, and we look forward to our collaboration continuing to grow. If you would like to support our work with E2E, please make a donation today.
