Each year, we are happy to host our Friends of Fabretto Trip to Nicaragua. This amazing travel experience is a great opportunity to see some of the real beauty of Nicaragua, visit each of our five principal centers, some of the rural schools we support, meet the students, teachers and staff, and see our programs in action. A special treat for Child Sponsors is that they get to meet and spend time with their sponsored child or children! Everyone is welcome and we promise you a moving, uplifting, and inspiring experience that you will likely never forget.
Trip participation is limited to 20 people, so sign up soon! The planned itinerary over President's Day Weekend stands as follows:
Friday, February 13
- • Arrival, group dinner & overnight in Managua
Saturday, February 14
- • Tour of our Managua central office & warehouse
- • Visit to La Chureca: the city dump
- • Visit to San Isidro Children's Center and Valentine's Day Party with the children
- • Starlight dinner overlooking the city!
- • Overnight in Managua
Sunday, February 15
- • Visit to Somoto Children's Center
- • Overnight in Cusmapa
Monday, February 16 - President's Day in the U.S.
- • Visit to Cusmapa Children's Center & Rural Schools
- • Overnight in Cusmapa
Tuesday, February 17
- • Visit to Quebrada Honda & Esteli Children's Centers
- • Overnight in Esteli
Wednesday, February 18
- • Return to Managua for early afternoon departures
The fee for trip participation is $550 per individual or $860 per couple. This cost includes
lodging, meals and ground transportation from arrival at Managua airport on 2/13 through departure on 2/18.
